Thomas Butler, Jr - Known as "Navaitel (?) of
The American Revolution" was 3rd son of
Thomas & Eleanor Butler. He was born
in Dublin, Ireland May 28, 1748 - Give
war record and of Indian warfare, also
of St. Clair's Regiment. He had a daughter
Lydia, who married Col. Stokley Hay
of Tenn. and 3 sons. The oldest was
Judge Thomas Butler who was the
father of Col. Pierce Butler of Louisa [Louisiana ?]

This Bible now owned by W. Butler Upton, given to him by the late
Hugh Miller Butler. Hugh loand this Bible, he had a trouble
getting it back. When it was finally returned the family records
were torn in pieces, part of them gone. He threatened to sue
this party but never did.
